As a wildlife conservationist often on the lookout for sustainable experiences, my recent stay at the White Horse Inn was a delightful surprise. Getting there via the single-track road added a sense of adventure as I reached the charming village of Compton Bassett. Dinner was a highlight-each dish thoughtfully crafted using fresh, local ingredients that sparkled with seasonal flavours. The emphasis on local produce paired beautifully with a constantly evolving selection of real ales and ciders from nearby breweries; I savoured a smooth local gin as well. Breakfast was equally impressive, featuring the best full English I've encountered-truly a feast to start the day. The friendly staff made us feel welcome and the ambiance of the pub added warmth to our dining experience. I fully intend to return for more hearty delights.
